Mount Kisco's Robert Dolan, 81, Former Bedford Hills Fire Chief, Served Community For 56 Years Robert (Bob) Dolan was born in Mount Kisco on July 30, 1937 and continued to serve his community and raise his family there with his wife Kitty. He was an active member of the Bedford Hills Fire Department for 56 years. He served as chief in 1999 and is the son of ex-chief Joseph M. Dolan. Prior to joining the fire department he served in the Air Force for four years as a radar technician. He will be greatly missed as he leaves behind his wife, children and grandchildren. Airman Who Grew Up In Fairfield County Killed In Crash A U.S. Airman from Bridgeport who died in a multiple-vehicle crash in Idaho will be remembered Sunday, July 1. Lawrence Manlapit III, 29, the son of Lawrence Manlapit, Jr. and Dorine Norko, who is a transportation specialist for the Bridgeport public schools, was killed June 16 in a multi-vehicle crash on I-84 outside of Boise, Idaho, said the Idaho State Police. Two other airmen and a truck driver were also killed in the crash, police said.
