Lyndhurst High School's First Special Needs Cheerleader Brings Important Quality To Squad
A cheerleader is all Lyndhurst's Gianna Cruz has ever wanted to be. Well that, and accepted. This fall, the 15-year-old will be both -- making her Lyndhurst High School's first ever cheerleader with special needs. Born with a rare illness called 22Q11.2 Deletion Syndrome, Gianna has never let her disabilities stand in the way of her dream. Norwalk HS Standout Named To All-State Cheerleading Team
Congratulations to Rayna Aguiar of the Norwalk High School Co-ed Varsity Cheerleading program on being selected for the 2018 LL All-State Team. Each team from the state can nominate five athletes by sending in tryout videos that are judged. The top 20 scores are chosen for the All-State team. This is a huge honor, competing with the best cheerleaders from more than 30 high schools in Connecticut. Aguiar has been a part of the NHS Cheerleading program for the past 4 years.
