Pennsylvania Man Drowns After Minivan Plunges Into Celebration Lake: Florida Highway Patrol
A Pittsburgh man drowned after his vehicle became submerged in a lake in Celebration, Florida, authorities said Tuesday, April 15.
The crash happened around 3:37 p.m. near Bloom Street and Front Street, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the 71-year-old was reversing his Chrysler Pacifica out of a parking spot on Bloom Street when, for an unknown reason, he accelerated forward, struck a curb and fence, and then drove into the lake.
The van sank approximately 20 to 30 feet underwater near The Inn at Celebration, Autograph Collection, Osceola County Fire Rescue said.

Motorcyclist, 20, Dies In Sussex County Crash
A 20-year-old motorcyclist died in a Sussex County crash over the weekend, State Police said.
Ryan Woodstead was heading south on Route 23 in Montague on his Yamaha motorcycle when he collided with a Chrysler Pacifica making a lefthand turn, around 5:20 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, New Jersey State Police Detective I Jeffrey Lebron said.
Woodstead, of Highland Lakes, was thrown from his bike and died, near milepost 52, Lebron said.
The crash remains under investigation and there is no additional information available.
Sayville Residents Pull Woman From Burning Car After Southern State Crash In Babylon
Two Long Island residents are being hailed as heroes after pulling a woman from a burning car following a crash on the Southern State Parkway.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 8 eastbound near Exit 35 in Babylon.
The driver, Nancy Brady, age 58, of West Sayville, was traveling eastbound, in a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica, on the Southern State Parkway when her vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree and caught on fire, state police said.
