Daycare Worker, 28, Died Alongside Her Dog In Autumn Ridge Apartment Fire, Charity Says
Arrangements have been finalized for Emily Prather, a 28-year-old daycare worker remembered for her warmth and compassion, who died following a fire at an apartment complex in South Jersey on Saturday, Nov. 1.
Prather, who was initially hospitalized following the Autumn Ridge blaze in Gloucester Township, was later pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the fire. Six firefighters were also injured and remain in stable condition, police said.
The Unforgotten Haven, a nonprofit assisting Emily's husband, Kyle, in Blackwood, said Emily died alongside her dog.

Mufid Fawaz Alkhader, 29, of Schenectady, pleaded guilty in February to a federal hate crime for the Dec. 7, 2023, incident at Temple Israel, as Daily Voice previously reported.

Flames broke out at a two-story residence, located in Lindenhurst on 51st Street, at around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8.
