Two more adults have been charged months after a 9-year-old girl was found dead in a tote along a river, as prosecutors say they allowed “severe child abuse and neglect” to continue inside a Pennsylvania home, authorities announced on Tuesday, April 21.
Theresa Marie Shipley, 63, identified as the child’s grandmother, and Sandra Lynn Umensetter, 51, a family friend, were charged in connection with the prolonged abuse that led to the death of 9-year-old Renesmay Eutsey, Fayette County District Attorney Mike Aubele said.

State Workers Steal Debit Card Info From Disabled Residents In Clifton Park, Police Say
Three New York State employees are accused of stealing money from developmentally disabled residents in the Capital Region.
The women, all employees at the Capital District Developmental Disabilities Services Office (DDSO) in Clifton Park, were arrested on suspicion of fraud and larceny-related charges following an investigation by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday, Jan. 26.
Officials identified the defendants as:

Elmont Woman Who Is Deaf, Mute Has Been Missing For Days, Police Say
Police issued an alert about a 46-year-old Long Island woman who has been missing for days and may be in need of medical attention.
Samantha Primus, of Elmont, was last seen on Savoy Avenue in Elmont at about 3:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 23, authorities said.
Police said Primus has developmental disabilities and uses limited sign language.
She is 5-foot-3 and 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, authorities said.
