Monmouth County Leads New Jersey's Early In-Person Vote In The 2024 Election
Monmouth County voters led the Garden State for early in-person voting in the 2024 Presidential election, officials said. County clerk Christine Hanlon said Monmouth was the top county in the state for early voting. Almost 130,000 voters cast their ballots during the nine-day in-person period from Saturday, Oct. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 3. A new COVID-19 outbreak has been linked to an early voting site on Long Island, officials said. Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone announced this week that at least 10 COVID-19 cases have been identified in relation to an early polling site at Stony Brook University's location in Southampton.
