A man is at large after he robbed an Exxon gas station minimart at gunpoint in Newark on Friday, Dec. 27, authorities said.
At 12:40 a.m., the suspect entered the minimart at 1425 McCarter Highway, pointed a handgun at the clerk, and forced the worker to open the store’s safe and cash register before fleeing eastbound on 3rd Avenue and McCarter Highway towards Passiac Street, Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda said.

A Pennsylvania native was stabbed to death near his Seattle-suburb home on Sunday, according to police in Washington.
John Huynh, 29, formerly of Ephrata, was stabbed in the heart following a disagreement with a neighbor -- over wearing a face mask -- according to charging documents filed in King County Superior Court.

A former Warren County salon employee returned to the workplace to throw a tantrum and scream at his former colleagues because of a Facebook issue -- all without wearing a face mask, authorities said.
Vincent J. Broska, 50, began lashing out at the employees at Cutting Crew on Route 57 in Hackettstown Wednesday, Sept. 16 due to an issue on social media, Mansfield Township Police said.
