Tree Falls On Property Owner, Killing Him In PA Backyard: Coroner
Two men died in separate tree-cutting accidents just hours apart in Pennsylvania on Saturday, April 18, authorities said.
In Lancaster County, Samuel Lantz, 31, was killed after a tree he was cutting down fell on him at his property on the 4000 block of Strasburg Road in Salisbury Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police and the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office.
Emergency crews were called at 11:09 a.m., and coroner’s investigators later found Lantz in a wooded area of the property, where he was pronounced dead, officials said.

Rockland County’s Hotel Nyack, located near the foot of the new Tappan Zee Bridge in Nyack, unveiled its rebranded eatery, FARM, in September 2022.
The “completely reimagined and rebranded” restaurant is meant to better reflect the vibe of the hotel’s parent company, JdV by Hyatt, according to a hotel spokesperson.
Formerly known as The Grille, FARM’s all-day menu features several eye-catching salads, flatbreads, and entrees.
