Flames Damage SUV In Poughkeepsie (Photos) A car fire in Dutchess County sent plenty of smoke up into the air and prompted a quick response from firefighters.  According to the Arlington Fire District, crews responded to Raymond Avenue in Poughkeepsie on Thursday, March 13, where an SUV caught on fire.  Upon arrival, firefighters worked quickly to contain the blaze, successfully extinguishing the fire within minutes. Thanks to the fast response, emergency crews were able to reopen the roadway shortly after the incident, preventing any major traffic issues.

They were met by heavy fire coming from the attack of the 2½ -story wood-frame home on Jason Woods Road, just off Homans Avenue, shortly before 2 a.m. Monday.
