Fugitive Wanted For Threatening Woman In MD Apprehended: Sheriff
An assault suspect has been apprehended by members of a fugitive task force years after a domestic assault in Charles County, authorities announced.
Brian Anthony Cave, 28, who has no fixed address, was arrested for an alleged domestic incident in December 2020 when he brandished a firearm and threatened a woman, though he was released on a $5,000 bond.
In February 2021, he was indicted for the assault, but never appeared in court, prompting a judge to issue a warrant for his arrest, though Cave could not be located.

Three people were killed within miles of each other in two separate Connecticut shootings.
The first victim was shot in Hartford around 12:30 a.m., Sunday, in the area of 675 Wethersfield Ave.
In a separate event just miles away, two men were killed during a shooting at around 1:55 a.m., Sunday, in the area of 82 Sterling St., said Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a Monroe man outside a variety store.
Richard Brown, of Bridgeport, was charged Tuesday, Sept. 24, with manslaughter, carrying a gun without a permit, and criminal possession of a firearm, in connection with the Sunday, Sept. 1, death 41-year-old Jose Perez-Ortiz, said Bridgeport Police Lt. Christopher LaMaine.
Perez-Ortiz was shot during a dispute at the store on the corner of Noble Avenue and Shelton Street after he is seen on video surveillance allegedly attempting to stab another man.

Bergen Sheriff's Task Force Rounds Up 8 Defendants Who Skipped Court
A Fugitive Task Force assembled by Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton snatched up eight people wanted on warrants in one morning.
Tuesday morning’s operation “included participation from 18 different agencies and resulted in multiple leads,” Cureton said Wednesday.
All eight defendants taken into custody had skipped court appearances, he said.
