A 27-year-old Wharton man was arrested and charged with robbing a deli in Dover at gunpoint, authorities announced Tuesday, July 1.
At 11 a.m., on Saturday, June 28, Dover police responded to Valencia Delicatessen on Richards Avenue after an employee reported a man wearing a mask, later identified as Dwayne Brown, entered the deli, approached a customer at the counter and grabbed his arm while pointing a handgun at him, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Dover Police Chief Jonathan Delaney said.

In 2019, Tyreen Walker placed orders with Domino's Pizza and Pizza Hut, requesting a pizza delivery, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said. When the order arrived at the location, he robbed the drivers, taking the pizza and whatever money they had, Webb Mc-Rae said.
Walker was sentenced to two seven-year prison terms for robbery, with the sentences being served consecutively, Webb-McRae said.

Brian Howard approached the victim while she was walking her dog, Nola, on Academy Street around 2:20 a.m. Oct. 2, Trenton police said. He initially tried to grab the dog’s leash from the victim’s hand, but the victim resisted.
