Westport Museum To Close Dec. 20 Through February
Westport Museum for History & Culture will be closed to the public from Dec. 20 through February as it prepares exhibits. In a Facebook announcement, Westport Museum for History & Culture said the exhibits being readied are titled Real Revolution, World War I, and The Great Migration. In its post, the museum wished supporters “happy and historic holidays,” thanked them for their support in 2025, and added, “See you in 2026.”

Stamford Police are asking residents to reach out to their loved ones to check on them after four residents have committed suicide over the past week. Assistant Chief Richard Conklin said a spike like this is unheard of for the Fairfield County town. New Jersey's health commissioner urged families not to take residents out of long-term care facilities for the holidays -- and warned that they might not get right back in if they do – as the number of COVID-19 cases statewide continue to spike.
