A 73-year-old man from Boston died after a multi-vehicle crash last week in Cambridge, and a New Jersey woman is accused of driving drunk when she caused the wreck, authorities said.
Daniel O’Neil was riding a moped near the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Vassar Street, close to the MIT campus, on Friday, March 21, when an SUV struck both him and an MIT police cruiser that was traveling ahead of her, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office said.

65-Year-Old Killed In CT 2-Vehicle Crash
A Connecticut resident was killed after he allegedly hit another vehicle, police said.
The crash occurred in New Haven County on Tuesday, Aug. 13, in the area of 1061 Boston Post Road (Route 1) in Milford.
According to the Milford Police, a preliminary investigation reveals that a vehicle traveling east on Boston Post Road was struck by an Asceno R2/50 moped.
The moped operator, identified as Brian McGrory, age 65, of Milford, was transported to Bridgeport Hospital, where he died.

Officer Injured While Chasing Moped In Rye During Rush Hour
A 22-year-old man faces several charges after leading officers on a chase with a moped in Westchester, during which one was injured, police said.
The incident happened during the evening rush hour on Friday, July 5, when a man led officers on a short pursuit on a moped in Rye on Theodore Fremd Avenue, Rye Police announced on Monday, July 8.
During the chase, one officer sustained injuries, the department said. The extent and cause of the injuries was not released.
