Actor Floyd Levine Dies; New York Native, Father Of TV Exec Brian Robbins
Floyd Levine, a veteran character actor whose face was familiar across decades of film and television and the father of entertainment executive Brian Robbins, has died. He was 93.
A former cab driver who pivoted to acting in the 1970s, Levine piled up scores of credits on the big and small screens.
On television, he was best known as Desk Sgt. Lubin in CBS’s Cagney & Lacey, Dr. Howard Stein in Fox’s Melrose Place, and Ned the Doorman in Nickelodeon’s Cousin Skeeter, which was co-created by his son.

Danny Tamberelli, who played "Little" Pete Wrigley on "The Adventures of Pete and Pete" will be signing copies of his new book, "The First Date Prophecy," along with his wife Kate, at Bookends in Ridgewood on Thursday, June 29 at 6 p.m.
Tamberelli grew up in Maywood and Wyckoff and graduated from Ramapo High School in 2000. "Pete and Pete", which aired in the early 90s on Nickelodeon, was filmed throughout North Jersey, mainly in Leonia.
