New-Works Theater Company Debuts In Stamford
The New Play Forum is a new-works theater company launching at the Stamford Center for the Arts in downtown Stamford. It kicks off with a "friend- and fun-raiser" on Monday, April 30, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Center’s UpStage lobby theater at the Palace Theatre, 61 Atlantic St. The Celebration for the launch of the New Play Forum will feature entertainment by Broadway performers, including Guy Fortt and Frank Mastrone, and others, as well as food and wine from local providers. Services Set For Wallington's Sylvia Lubak, 26, Found In Hackensack River
Services for Wallington's Sylvia Lubak have been set. Visitation will be Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Warner-Wozniak Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be Thursday at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Paterson followed by a private cremation. The 26-year-old's body was found Sunday in the Hackensack River and identified by Bogota Police on Monday, authorities told Daily Voice. Lubak was born in Poland and moved to the U.S. in 2000 when she was eight years old. She graduated from Becton HS, East Rutherford, Class of 2010, and then attended NYU. : Body Pulled From River ID'd As Missing Woman, 26
Police identified the woman whose body was pulled from the Hackensack River over the weekend as a missing 26-year-old who had been living in Bogota. Bogota Police Detective Victor Negron said his department identified the body as Sylvia Lubak on Monday. Negron could not release more information due to an ongoing investigation. A missing persons report was filed in December 2017, which says she was last seen by her boyfriend, police said. "She was wearing blue or black snow pants and a black jacket with fur on the hood.
