Blizzard Halts Belmar-Lake Como St. Patrick's Day Parade
The Belmar-Lake Como St. Patrick’s Day Parade, the largest St. Patrick's Day in New Jersey, has been canceled due to this week's blizzard, organizers announced on social media Tuesday, Feb. 24.
The parade was set for Sunday, March 1.
Organizers said they hope to reschedule for another date in coordination with Belmar and Lake Como, depending on logistics, safety and financial issues.
The update, shared just days before the parade, quickly drew reaction online, with more than 140 reactions and over 120 shares within hours.
