Two Teenagers Intentionally Set Fire At Plainfield Playground: Police A 16-year-old and a 17-year-old boy were recently arrested and charged with setting a fire at a Temike Park Playground in Plainfield last October, authorities said. On Wednesday, Oct. 23, officers responded to a report of a fire engulfing the playground, Union County police said. The blaze was extinguished by firefighters, who determined the fire was an act of arson, police said. The structure sustained significant damage, police said. The teenage boys were charged with arson and criminal mischief, police said. They were released to their guardians pending a court appearance, police said.
