A Shippensburg High School senior has died unexpectedly, leaving his family, friends, and classmates heartbroken, loved ones said.
Jackson Charles McManus, 18, of Shippensburg, passed away at home on Wednesday, Feb. 5, according to his obituary published by Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc.
Born in Lancaster, Jackson was a senior at Shippensburg Area Senior High School. He worked at Kenny’s Grill and Ice Cream in Chambersburg and spent summers as a lifeguard at Holly Lake Camp Site in Millsboro, Delaware.

Danbury Home Invasion Suspect Pistol Whips Boy, Police Say
A 13-year-old Connecticut boy suffered serious head and face injuries after a man forced his way into a home.
The incident took place in Fairfield County around 10:45 a.m., Friday, March 11, at a residence on Wildman Street in Danbury.
When police arrived on the scene, the youth told officers that a white man forced his way in after answering his front door, pointed a gun at him, and demanded money, said Det. Lt. Mark Williams, of the Danbury Police.
When the youth failed to comply, the man repeatedly struck him in the head and face with the handgun, Williams said.

Five Busted For Various Offenses During Burglary Probe, Haledon PD Says
Two teens who were arrested by Haledon police during a burglary raid were joined by three other people, one of whom had a gun and the other two outstanding warrants, authorities said.
Police investigating the theft of Apple air pads, ab IPad, a Playstation 4, prescription medication and $1,260.00 in collectible coins from Hobart Avenue found the borough group while executing a search warrant on Tilt Street, Capt. George Guzman Jr. said.
They seized Anthony Scarpa and Alejandro Navarro, both 18, in connection with the burglary, while grabbing Elijah Mercer, also 18, who he said had a gun.

Silver Alert Issued For CT Teen Missing For Two Days
A Silver Alert has been issued for a Connecticut teen who has been missing for two days.
Christopher Champagne, age 16, of Waterbury, was last seen around 3 a.m., leaving his home on Tuesday, Feb. 23, said Sgt. Nadine Amatruda, of the Waterbury Police.
Champagne was first reported missing around 12:44 p.m., on Feb. 23, after he did not return home.
The teen was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants, and carrying a Playstation.
He is described as being 5-foot-10, 140 pounds, with a thin build, hazel eyes, and short brown hair.
