A 36-year-old Connecticut man accused of killing a 96-year-old woman and speeding away without calling for help has accepted a plea deal rather than take the case to trial, a new report said.
Franklin Post, of Bozrah, pleaded guilty on Monday to second-degree manslaughter, evading responsibility with serious injury or death, tampering with evidence, possession with intent, and a violation of probation, according to CT Insider.
Post faces 40 years in prison, suspended after 24 years, when a judge sentences him in April, the report continued.

A Pennsylvania fugitive ex-con with a decades-long criminal record was busted again after he was caught on security footage unhooking a tractor from a trailer at an industrial building and driving off with it, authorities in New Jersey said.
Moonachie Police Officer Scott Lemongello viewed the footage from a neighboring building on Hollister Road in Teterboro soon after the theft early Sunday, Oct. 9.
