West Milford Man Built A Corvette-Powered Food Truck, Now He’s Gunning For A World Record
It’s part food truck, part racecar — but all New Jersey ambition.
LJ Koch of West Milford, is trying to make history this summer — behind the wheel of a Corvette-powered fajita truck that just hit 126 mph at Pocono Raceway.
Nicknamed The Vettro, the one-of-a-kind ride is part 1952 International Metro Van, part 2021 Corvette Stingray, and fully fueled by Jersey creativity.
“We didn’t plan on making a race car food truck,” said Koch, 30. “But after a mid-engine C8 Corvette came into our lives, we all looked at each other and were like, we need to build the world’s fastest food truck.”

NJ Brothers Killed, Puppy Dies In I-95 Crash After Car Flips Off Overpass In Philly: Police
Two young brothers from New Jersey were killed and a puppy was also found dead after a violent crash sent a car flying off I-95 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania State Police said.
The deadly crash happened Friday night, March 21, around 8:12 p.m., near mile marker 25.5 on I-95 North by the Castor Avenue overpass, PSP Trooper Paul Holdefer said (see videos from the scene on Citizen).

Teen Killed In High-Speed I-81 Crash ID'd: Details Released By PA State Police, Family
A high-speed crash on Interstate 81 southbound in East Pennsboro Township claimed the life of a 19-year-old Harrisburg man, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Sunday, Dec. 15.
The fatal crash occurred at mile marker 62.6 at approximately 9:43 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, according to PSP Trooper Joshua Hoerner.
Muhammad Shezal Ali, 19, of Harrisburg, died at the scene after being ejected from his 2009 Honda Civic, police said. Investigators determined the crash was caused by racing at high speeds between Ali’s Civic and a 2014 Hyundai Sonata.

Joey Logano collected his third NASCAR Cup Series Championship on Sunday, Nov. 10, at Phoenix Raceway, becoming the 10th driver to complete the feat.

A BMW driver is facing multiple charges after crashing and injuring a family of four on Route 3 on Thursday, Oct. 3, authorities said.
Hamza M. Abdelaziz, 20, of Clifton, was racing in a 2023 black BMW 540 when he struck the Fair Lawn family's vehicle on the Berry’s Creek Bridge in the eastbound lanes in Rutherford, just prior to the East Rutherford border around 1:10 p.m., Rutherford Police Chief John Russo said.
A 35-year-old man, 35-year-old woman, 5-year-old girl, and 3-year-old girl all reported injuries following the crash, Russo said.

A man from Egg Harbor City was arrested on multiple charges Monday after racing on the shoulder of Route 30 and crashing, authorities said.
Vishal H. Patel, 31, was charged with DWI, assault by auto, racing, reckless driving and other motor vehicle violations after a collision on White Horse Pike (Route 30) near the Travelodge Hotel, Absecon police said in a statement.
