Sohail A. Nabi, of Yonkers, was found dead Monday, May 11, in the Schroon River in Warrensburg, New York State Police confirmed.  The incident began just after 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 10, when troopers responded to the area of Library Avenue following reports of an overturned kayak in the river.  Investigators later determined Nabi had been kayaking with a small group of people when they lost sight of him. Body Pulled From Merrimack River ID'd As Missing Lowell Man Authorities have identified the body of a man pulled from the Merrimack River earlier this week as a 71-year-old Lowell resident who had been missing since January, officials said. Leon “Leo” Langlais' body was discovered in Haverhill around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Essex County District Attorney's Office. Weekend Ferry Service Between Ossining, Rockland Off To Great Start With Increased Ridership Months after the launch of a weekend ferry service between Westchester and Rockland counties, ridership is only going up, officials announced.  Since weekend service on the Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry was started in May, ridership numbers have continued to climb each month, MTA officials announced on Wednesday, July 31.  According to the MTA, ridership in July reached an average of 455 trips a day on the weekend compared to 240 trips a day in May.
