Billionaire Jeff Bezos is planning to unload millions of Amazon shares, which could be worth about $5 billion.
Bezos will sell up to 25 million Amazon shares, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday, May 2. The sales are expected to be completed by Friday, May 29, 2026.
The shares could be worth up to $5 billion, depending on their value when sold. The tech giant's stock opened at $191.90 per share on May 2, down about 21% from its record high in early February.

A convicted felon with a history of robbery charges is back behind bars after allegedly robbing a Connecticut Wells Fargo bank, authorities said.
Thomas Hopkins, 57, of Waterbury, was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree threatening, and second-degree larceny, police said on Monday, Nov. 18.
Hopkins is accused of robbing the Wells Fargo at 800 Wolcott St. in Waterbury around 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, police said. He walked in and told employees he had a gun and demanded cash; however, he never showed the weapon.

John Huynh, a Pennsylvania native, was stabbed in the heart after he stopped to talk to a neighbor near his Seattle-suburb home on Sunday, according to police in Washington.
Huynh, 29, formerly of Ephrata, was stabbed to death by his neighbor, Ian Patrick Williams, 25 of Bothell -- over wearing a face mask -- according to charging documents filed in King County Superior Court.
