Two Texas residents were arrested and charged after more than $48 million worth of marijuana, THC and THC/cannabis products were seized from a truck in Warren County, authorities announced Wednesday, Sept. 17.
On Wednesday, Sept. 10, the Mobile Safe Freight Unit conducted a commercial vehicle inspection on I-78 East in Greenwich Township, Warren County, on a tractor-trailer operated by Vethanayagam Venches, New Jersey State Police said.

Ujaval Darji, 27, of Monmouth Junction, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after the bust at Bellmore Cigars, Vapor, Lotto Store, in Bellmore earlier this week, the Nassau County Police Department reported.

Four men are facing drug charges after police reported recovering THC gummies from a Long Island cigar shop.
The arrests were made during an investigation at Bellmore Cigars, Vapor, Lotto Store, located at 2825 Merrick Road in Bellmore, at 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28, the Nassau County Police Department reported.

Man, Woman Airlifted After Two-Car Long Island Crash
A man in possession of THC gummies was one of two motorists airlifted to the hospital after a two-car collision on Long Island, state police said.
It happened on Friday, March 6 just before 2:30 p.m. on Sunrise Highway (Route 27) in Southampton.
Caige Meier, 26, of Manorville, was traveling westbound in a Nissan Armada when he lost control of his vehicle and struck Toyota Prius from behind, state police said.
