Verona Firefighter Gavin Martin, 21 Killed In Crash: Authorities
Gavin Martin, a 21-year-old Verona native, was killed in a car crash in Maine on Tuesday, Dec. 16. Martin was operating his 2005 Chevy Colorado truck eastbound in Lincoln County when his truck crossed over the westbound lane and left the roadway, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office said. The vehicle struck a utility pole and rolled onto its roof, authorities said. Martin, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead, authorities said. Father Of 3 ID'd As Motorcyclist Killed In Holyoke Crash
Authorities in Western Massachusetts have identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash last week as a caring father of three. William "Bill" Brunault Sr., 66, of South Hadley, was involved in a crash at the Lyman Street and N. Bridge Street intersection in Holyoke shortly before 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 25, the Hampden District Attorney's Office said. Police found Brunault suffering severe injuries, and paramedics rushed him to Holyoke Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.
