Police on Long Island have been investigating a string of high-end luxury vehicle thefts. The Southampton Town Police Department issued an alert stating that in the past few months, local residents in Bridgehampton to Westhampton have reported their luxury vehicles stolen overnight. Police Ask Public's Help In Locating Westhampton Purse Thief
Police are asking the public's help in identifying and locating a man accused of stealing a purse out of a car in Westhampton. The alleged purse thief reportedly pried open the window of a 2014 Nissan parked at the Suffolk County Nature Preserve at 613 Old Riverhead Road on Wednesday, June 26 at around 12:40 p.m. and stole a purse, Suffolk County Police said. Going Once, Going Twice: Suffolk County Police To Hold Vehicle Auction
The Suffolk County Police Impound Section has scheduled a vehicle auction to take place on Saturday, June 22. The auction will be held at the Suffolk County Police Department Impound Facility (100 Old Country Road in Westhampton). The auction will begin at 9 a.m. rain or shine. There will be a preview of the vehicles on Thursday, June 20 and Friday, June 21 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the impound yard.
